Relationship agreement consultation

The Kia Tutahi Standing Together Steering Group has been appointed to develop the Community-Government Relationship Agreement. Over the past few months the Steering Group has kept you updated with information about our work and the development of a draft Relationship Agreement.

Draft Relationship Agreement between Communities of Aotearoa New Zealand and the Government of New Zealand

Minister Turia and Steering Group

Kia Tutahi is about Communities and Government working well together to benefit all.

The Kia Tutahi-Standing Together steering group is a joint group of community members and government officials appointed by the Minister for the Community and Voluntary Sector.

The group drafted a relationship agreement setting out a vision and principles for how government and communities can work together.

Kia Tutahi's consultation process sought to talk with communities about:

  • How do we ensure that the agreement is put into practice?
  • How should we get the message out?
  • How do we keep things on track?
  • How will we know its working and how will we do it right?

Consultation documents

We asked for your feedback ...

The discussion document and background information were provided so people could provide feedback - in person at one of the hui, via a written submission or online at http://bangthetable.com/kiatutahi

The deadline for submissions was 20 August 2010, and the steering group is now considering all the feedback received. They are taking the range of views into account as they revise the Relationship Agreement and create a new version.

A summary of all the feedback is being compiled and will be made available soon.
Notes from each of the hui are already online at http://bangthetable.com/document/index/227
